On October 1, the Republican Library for blind and visually impaired citizens held a meeting with veterans who had worked for many years in the RBNSG. The event was held as part of the International Day of Older Persons. In 1990, on December 14, the General Assembly of the United Nations declared October 1 as the International Day of Older Persons.
