Harmonious family

September 17 in the Republican library for blind and visually impaired citizens passed a literary and musical evening «Harmonious family», dedicated to the Family Day.

 On March 1, 2013, President Nursultan Nazarbayev signed a decree on introducing changes and additions to the list of professional and other holidays of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

By this Decree, a new holiday was established in the country — Family Day, and the date of its celebration is determined — every second Sunday in September. The main goal of the establishment and annual celebration of the holiday was the implementation of the national state goal of preserving cultural values, traditions, spirituality, educating the younger generation, overcoming demographic problems of a social nature through the institution of the family.

The active reader of the library, a member of the Literary and Music Association «Nezabudka», a wonderful hostess, wife and mother, an invalid of the 1st sight group Svetlana Tokabayeva prepared a concert program for the Family Day. Son of Svetlana and Saduakas Tokabaevs Alibek studies in the Czech Republic. Alibek is a future political scientist.

The program of the evening was performed by Svetlana in Kazakh, Ukrainian and Russian. The author accompanied each performed song with poetic lines. Guessing puzzles, for the right answers were given gifts. The audience applauded with stormy applause every song. After Svetlana’s performance of the song «Almatynam Diamonds» apples were presented to all spectators in the hall.

   The evening passed in a friendly atmosphere. At the end of the evening the audience thanked Svetlana for such an interesting meeting and wished her further creative successes. Svetlana also thanked all those present for the attention paid, warm words addressed to her.
